About me
Alice Bertoldo, MSc, MA - Organisational Psychologist, Psychodrama Regisseur, Psychosomatic and Jungian Analytical Psychotherapist
I am a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist with 10 years of experience in the clinical field. I have always been fascinated by human psychology, particularly the mechanisms underlying decision-making processes and the nuances of individual life development.
Initially, my academic pursuits were concentrated within the realms of Social and Organizational Psychology, culminating in the attainment of both bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Padua (Italy). I worked as research assistant at the aforementioned university, contributing to the Empower Daphne Research Project under the leadership of Professor Ines Testoni. This initiative sought to empirically evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of psychodramatic techniques in aiding women who had endured instances of violence. Concomitant with my involvement in research, I found myself increasingly drawn to the interdisciplinary field of gender studies and feminist epistemology. This intellectual curiosity brought me to pursue the Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree in Women's and Gender Studies, a program jointly administered by Utrecht University and the University of Granada.
Subsequent to this academic endeavour, and after several years of immersion in diverse research methodologies and residing in cities such as London, Vicenza, Granada, and Utrecht, I wanted to focus my work where my deepest passion and intellectual curiosity lies the most: the exploration of the human psyche, often metaphorically referred to as the 'soul' in Greek mythology ('Psyche').
Consequently, I specialised in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodrama, Jungian Analysis with focus on Psychosomatic disorders and Ericksonian Clinical Hypnosis. My clinical practice is primarily situated in Amsterdam; however, I also offer online therapeutic services to people from all over the world. Moreover, I conduct sessions in both Italian and English, online or in person.
